Mission

Training aims at preparing highly qualified personnel for staff work in Air Defence structures as well as commanders, chiefs of staff and officers in anti-air craft and radiotechnical services, Land Forces air defence and the Air Force command and management structures. Training aims to meet the highest modern standards for developing officers of leadership, character and intellect who possess the skills required for effectively performing functions within the Air Force and Land Forces structures. In the course of their education, students become acquainted with the NATO forces and structures interoperability requirements as well as those for partnership in multinational operations and other operations.

Main goals:

circleProviding the qualification required for organizing and managing the Air Force structures;

circleDeveloping officersÕ system of values and ethics in accordance with the requirements of a democratic society and quickly developing civil-military relations;

circleChanging studentsÕ mentality and developing a new leadership and management conceptual framework, based on the necessity to work within multinational joint task forces structures;

circleDeveloping the ability to think as commanders, adapt quickly to a changing environment, make timely and innovative decisions and organize their implementation.

Main objectives:

circleTo study in depth the regularities, nature, content and principles of combat preparation and conduct by homogeneous and heterogeneous Air Force structures Ð independently or interacting with structures of the other arms of services;

circleTo study the origin and development of the social processes as a medium for national security and defence, of the state and development of the civil-military relations and the nature of civilian control over the armed forces;

circleTo study the organization of staff techniques, tactics and procedures at staffs of different rank interacting within multinational joint task forces, as well as the principles of organization and conduct of multinational joint operations.

circleTo acquire skills for working in debating creative environment, fostering team work and a new way of communication;

circleTo develop skills for analyzing the existing environment and decision making concerning the use of forces in times of crises, indeterminacy and considerable time and resource deficit.;
