Mission

The mission of training is to carry out educational and research work of officers on the basic subjects included in the curricula for acquiring higher education Р the educational degree Фmaster' and prepare them to work in the intelligence directions of the General Staff, in the headquarters of the services of the armed forces, Army formations, Special operation command of forces, Army intelligence and artillery formations and the navy and military topography services in the Bulgarian armed forces. They should be trained to make leaders'decisions and to prepare proper plans about the intelligence, electronic struggle, special operations, fire defeat and topogeodesic support.

Training is directed to accomplish them as commanders and chiefs of artillery, intelligence and special formations, officers of intelligence directions, special operation forces, artillery and military topography support, possessing proper knowledge, practical skills and leaderХs mentality needed for the structuresХ integration with NATO analogue structures. Their actions should be equally effective at peacetime, during crises, conflicts and combat engagements.

Main Goals:

To study the principles, content, methods, order of planning and conducting fire support, special operations, operational and tactical reconnaissance, electronic struggle, combat use of artillery and reconnaissance formations, how special forces prepare and conduct operations, as well as topogeodesic support of formations and use of geoinformation systems;

To form modern points of view of learners and high command and leadershipХs values needed for their participation in combined headquartersХ structures and different types of crisis management;

To develop skills for acquiring, analyzing and disseminating specialized information, quick adaptation to the changing political and military environment, skills to make own decisions on issues concerning fire and reconnaissance support and to form habits of will to accomplish their decisions successfully;

Learners should acquire specialized knowledge in order to become specialists in their field, to adapt their outlook for the role and place of the Bulgarian forces and their subordinate formations in the process of developing civil and military relations and the role of the military factor in defending national interests.

General Tasks:

To study novelties in the organization and management of fire defeat in a battle, planning and management of operational and tactical reconnaissance and electronic struggle, combat use of artillery and special operation forces as well as topogeodesic support of forces and geoinformation systems;

To give them fundamental preparation in order to become specialists of directions, sections and departments in the headquarters of the services of the armed forces, tactical formations, as well as reconnaissance and artillery formations, special operation forces, electronic struggle and military topography structures;

To form practical habits and skills to work in a team when analyzing new information, making decisions, making suggestions how to use the subordinate structures and formations, applying modern methods and technologies in accordance with the Euro-Atlantic orientation of the country;

To acquire skills to participate in discussions and make joint decisions, form a corporative atmosphere of work and new way of communication in joint and combined headquarters;

To form abilities of making decisions to use forces in different types of crises, in conditions of high uncertainty, discretion and extreme conditions of work.
