Mission
The mission of Language training chair is to teach Bulgarian officers in German, Turkish, Serbian and Romanian languages and foreign officers in Bulgarian language, in order to be prepared to accomplish tasks in their field of work when certain language skills are needed in the country or abroad.
Main goals:
 To teach foreign languages as specialized language training at a higher methodical level in accordance with the newest achievements and requirements of national and foreign linguistics and methodology;
To maintain, improve and develop present educational and technical equipment;
To heighten teachersÕ qualification by doing constant research work;
To develop values, outlook and ethics in learners in accordance with the requirements of officers in conditions of democratic society and dynamic development of civil and military relations;
To help by the means and conditions of language training to change learnersÕmentality and form new command and leadership values needed for their work in the structure of multinational combined operation forces.
General tasks:
To teach learners basic practical and applied knowledge about the vocabulary and grammar of a certain language.
To form firm and long-lasting language skills and habits to be applied in practice and used for the accomplishment of their functional requirements in the Bulgarian armed forces formations, when exchanging experience participating in international meetings, conferences and exercises, as well as when working in Bulgarian military agencies and military missions abroad and when conducting combined peace, humanitarian and special operations;
To develop, decide and publish current theoretical and applied problems and issues from the didactics and methodology of foreign language training in the national or international press or at science conferences and symposia as well as doing linguistic and didactic relevant research in linguistic science;
Constant maintenance, improvement and development of the educational and didactic equipment and materials in order to achieve higher results in language training;
To keep in touch, to participate in qualification courses and give lectures at leading language training higher institutions in the country and abroad .
