| The section target of work is carried out in three basic directions Ð research work in problem areas, expert work and education and qualification work.
Research work is centered on carrying out applied scientific research in the sphere of armament, ordnance, ammunitions, properties and materials intended for the Bulgarian Armed Forces and other departments, motor vehicle, armored vehicle, engineer equipment, camouflaging technical devices, rear equipment, optic and electronic and laser metric and observation devices and systems, tools and methods for NBCWarfare Defence and E, aviation and naval equipment.
The stress is put on armament and equipment modernization in accordance with NATO requirements for equipment and interoperability of forces as well as to carry out research in perspective spheres for the future development of the Bulgarian Armed Forces.
Scientific workers from the section participate in the work of different committees.
