The section operates in two basic fields Ð research work and academic activities. The former is directed towards applied researches in the field of defence management.
One of the basic research priorities is the influence of the processes of modernization and professionalization of the army folowing the requirements to the selection, training and professional realization of the staff. In this context, the section assists the work on "Soldier of the Future" program, in the "Human Factor" sector
Another priority of the researches in the section is the assessment of the efficiency of the process of integration of parts and divisions of Bulgarian Armed Forces in multinational joint NATO forces and their readiness to participate in peace support operations.
The section carries out research to support the construction of a system to assess the quality of the academic process in Rakovski Defence and Staff College.
In the process of defining the research priorities, the requirements for interoperability with NATO structures are taken into consideration; in order to do so, representatives of the section participate in various research teams of NATOÕs Research and Technology Agency.
The academic work of the qualified staff of the section is realized through short lecture courses at Rakovski Defence and Staff College, and also as part time lecturers at National and Global Economics University, and the New Bulgarian University. |
