Georgian Military Delegation Visited Rakovski Defense and Staff College

On 10 October 2007 , delegation from the General Staff of the Georgian armed forces visited the Regional Logistics Training Center at Rakovski Defense and Staff College .

The guests displayed interest in the system for training of logistic personnel for the NATO Headquarters. The Bulgarians presented a briefing concerning the education at the Command Staff faculty and the education on the two professional specialties – “National Security” and “Military Science”. During the meeting were discussed the new Master’s degrees for education of civilians at the faculty and the opportunities for training of foreign officers in “Military Science”.

The Georgian delegation was acquainted with the Regional Logistics Training Center , the curricula, and the educational methods as well as the courses for postgraduate work and the courses for foreign officers.

The Georgians were interested in the software programs and the education of foreign officers at the Regional Logistics Training Center . They declared their willingness for educating Georgian officers in the postgraduate courses at Rakovski Defense and Staff College .

In the working meeting took part representatives from the Directorate “Logistics” o0f the General Staff of the Bulgarian Army and from the Logistics chair of Command and Staff Faculty at Rakovski Defense and Staff College .
