Dimitar Nedialkov
Reviews |
The book gives detail description of the air battles of the Bulgarian fighters and pilots in air defence operations. This time the author of the series Military Aviation books about the Air Power of Bulgaria, takes us back in the sky of 1943 and 1944 when the American plains were bombing the Bulgarian cities. They came in 5 to 20 times more in numbers and HAD 4 TIMES MORE CASUALTIES against the BULGARIAN FIGHTERS in the air.
USA lost 54 plains and 78 damaged. Military secret is how many never reached their bases on the way back. Bulgaria lost only 17 plains.
Yes, the Americans succeeded to drop their loads but on what price ?! |

JAPAN AGAINST RUSSIA
IN THE SKY OF NOMONHAN
Dimitar Nedialkov
Reviews |
This book is an emotional tale of one not so well-known military Air clash begun in May and finished on September 15th 1939 (15 days after Germany invaded Poland).
Isn't this local conflict between the two empires the actual beginning of WW II? The crash of the Japanese made them move their striking power East against USA and UK in the Pacific Strategic Area.
This changed the history for decades ahead. |

WHY THINGS HAPPEN PRECISELY LIKE THIS, OR VACUUM THEORY
Radnyo Ivanov Dzanev
Reviews |
| The bases of a new theory, called “vacuum theory”, because of the decisive role of vacuum in physical processes and phenomena, are outlined. The theory is based on the hypothesis that physical vacuum is a kind of matter and that all bodies, moving through it with a definite velocity, change their sizes so that their volume is preserved. Besides, the relationship between the sizes (in the direction of movement and these, situated in the perpendicular plane) remains equal to the Lorenz factor from Special relativity theory. |

The Genesis of Air Power
Dimitar Nedialkov
Reviews |
| The use of airborne weapons in combat characterizes armed conflict since the end of the 19th Century, and especially since the start of the 20th Century. Today the significance of airborne weaponry has grown to the point where it plays a decisive role in the outcome of armed and political crises. This book is dedicated to 100-anniversary from the first control humans' flight, aims to clarify the genesis of air power, uncover its essence, and trace the evolution in this term during certain stages of its currency. Official historiography, memoirs, and scientific papers form the base for research. Subject of the study is air power: how the term emerged, what was meant by it as it developed historically, how it influenced the formulation of doctrines for the utilization of air forces and national air potential as a whole, and how it made its debut in the years prior to 1914. The very new moment is a special part for creation of Air Power in Balkan countries and meaning of new components for the military operations in Balkan wars (1912-1913). The book seeks to contribute to further clarification of terminology and processes: a clarification which would assist a future streamlining in the development of national air potential on the road to integration into collective security systems. Ultimately, arrival at a uniform terminology, and its clarification and amplification are the first steps to genuine integration. The book is intended for historians and libraries, both military and civil, military officers and pilots, all lovers of the history of humans' flight and air power. |

CIVIL-MILITARY RELATIONS POSTGRADUATE PROGRAM
Jordan Baev & Edwin R. Micewski |
| Until the end of the Cold War the specific situation of the defense and security sector in southeast Europe (SEE) did not allow for the development of independent and professional research on the topic of democratic control of armed forces and defense structures. Transparency of the military sphere and democratic civilian control over the defense sector were unattainable; and so was the instilment of democratic values inside military organizations. In addition, the totalitarian societies instituted a strict division between civilian and military education during the Cold War era. Consequently, by the time of the early 1990s, no theoretical or educational establishment of civil-military relations (C-M-R) existed in the SEE region. |
